Road to Battlefield 6: Free Pass Honors Legacy, Introduces Rewards and New Hardware

Battlefield 2042 is launching a major update titled “Road to Battlefield 6,” scheduled to run from August 10 to October 7. This event introduces a free pass that pays tribute to the Battlefield series’ history, alongside new hardware and a reimagined Iwo Jima map. The free pass offers over 50 rewards for Battlefield 2042, including new weapons and items that honor the series’ legacy. Players can unlock the KFS2000 by progressing through this pass. Additionally, players who participated in the Battlefield 6 open beta will receive the Sniper Rifle Lynx as a reward. By playing Battlefield 2042 during this event, participants can earn exclusive rewards for Battlefield 6. EA states that over 20 unique Battlefield 6 rewards will be available at that game’s launch, unlocked through progress in the free pass. The event also brings new hardware to Battlefield 2042, such as the A-10 Warthog and Su-25TM Frogfoot aircraft, which players can acquire from supply crates. The reimagined Iwo Jima map is part of the update, and it notably appears as the YouTube video cover image for the “Road to Battlefield 6” event.
