Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5 – A Journey through Time and a Confrontation with Lygus in Ancient Okhema

HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5, titled “Before Your Deaths,” will be released on August 13th. This update begins the second half of the Amphoreus story and introduces new playable characters, enemies, events, and returning friends in new forms. Building on the previous chapter, where the explorer struck a deal with Phainon and agreed to bear a responsibility, Phainon fully confronted Nanook, further delaying the Iron Tombs’ advance. The journey to save Amphoreus continues with a new exploration mission. This mission sees the explorer joining Cyrene on a time-traveling loop, journeying a thousand years into the past to ancient Okhema. This era was ruled by Empress Cerydra, bearer of the primordial flame of laws and Aglaea’s predecessor. Version 3.5 also introduces a new map, offering a fresh perspective of Styxia, the City of Endless Banquet. Here, players will encounter a significant turning point, confronting Lygus, an enemy who shifts between two distinct forms. As the battle progresses, players may uncover his true identity and hidden motives.

New Character Hysilens: Physical Damage Specialist on Oblivion Path in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5

Among the new playable characters is Hysilens, leader of the Knights from the Sacred Polis. As a Physical character on the Oblivion Path, she is particularly effective when partnered with characters who inflict continuous damage. When her primary skill is activated, any continuous damage she deals to enemies returns as additional continuous damage, while also reducing enemies’ attack and defense. Her basic attacks, skills, and ultimate skill also have a chance to inflict a random type of ongoing damage. Additionally, her skill boosts the team’s overall damage output.

Strategy Master Cerydra Joins Harmony Path in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.5

Empress Cerydra is a 5-star Wind-type character following the Harmony Path, wielding the Primordial Flame of Law and initiating the First Pursuit of the Flames. From a young age, Cerydra demonstrated mastery in chess, excelling in strategic moves and tactical command. In combat, her skills grant an ally a “Military Merit” bonus, which increases their attack power and deals extra damage. As the battle progresses, Military Merit levels up, granting the ally higher critical hit rates and reduced resistance to all damage types when using skills, replicating the skill’s effect and increasing the team’s total damage. Furthermore, Cerydra’s ultimate skill deals damage to all enemies and replenishes her own charge, providing consistent support during battle. The limited 5-star characters Stellaron Kafka Hunter and Silver Wolf Loba will also return in parts one and two of the Hyper Space Jump Event during Version 3.5. Their formidable support makes them essential allies for future adventures. Version 3.5 introduces several engaging events, including “Grandiose Dining Hall of Chrysos” and “Old Drinks – New Friendships.” Additionally, the update will feature a voice-switching option for collaborative characters.
