Veewo Games has released a new 14-minute gameplay video for Neon Abyss 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2020 indie roguelike hit. The video showcases the game’s multiplayer mode with commentary, and an uncommented version is also available. This release comes ahead of the game’s Steam Early Access launch on July 17, 2025. Neon Abyss 2 aims to elevate the chaotic action of its predecessor with new features and a focus on both solo and cooperative play. Players can carve their path through the abyss and wreak havoc alone or with up to three friends in the new online cooperative mode. The game emphasizes frenzied, fast-paced gameplay, encouraging players to gather as many items as possible to create powerful builds with unique synergies, ultimately becoming an unstoppable force for destroying enemies—unless they die trying. Key new features in Neon Abyss 2 include a brand-new weapon system that offers diverse combat styles and limitless weapon options, ensuring each run is unique with faster action and higher stakes. Unique playable characters are also introduced. The new Faith System provides assistance during challenging moments, and players can collect and evolve “Hatchmon”—cute critter companions that join the cyber adventure.
