Alix Wilton Regan, the actress who voices Joanna Dark in Perfect Dark, is urging fans to make their voices heard if they want the game to be completed. Only this week, Microsoft Gaming closed The Initiative studio and canceled the development of Perfect Dark. This means the studio never released a single game. The news left many bewildered, including numerous employees who had worked on the game and the voice actors involved. Among them is Elias Toufexis, known for voicing Adam Jensen in Deus Ex and Sam in Starfield. Toufexis also revealed he stands to lose thousands of dollars in anticipated earnings due to Perfect Dark’s cancellation. Regan expressed her sentiments about the cancellation, stating she was honored to have worked with The Initiative. She also reminded everyone that Joanna Dark is tough and doesn’t give up — and neither should fans. When a fan suggested the possibility of another company, such as PlayStation, acquiring The Initiative and the Perfect Dark project to revive it, Regan enthusiastically encouraged fans to voice their support for this idea. She mentioned she’s received numerous messages from people eager to rally and demonstrate their serious commitment to seeing Perfect Dark completed, even if under a different publisher. She fully endorses this. Last year, Microsoft also closed Tango Gameworks, but subsequently sold the studio, along with the rights to Hi-Fi Rush, to Krafton.
