Among the announcements from Capcom Spotlight on June 27, 2025, it’s impossible to overlook the first teaser introducing Sagat to the roster. The Muay Thai Emperor will arrive in the game earlier than expected with a special Fighting Pass called “Sagat Arrives” on July 4. This pass allows fans to unlock content inspired by their favorite fighter, including new exclusive EX colors for Ryu and Ken, as well as exclusive avatars styled as Sagat’s wanderer gear.
Players can thus become his disciple. Technically, all signs point to Capcom maintaining the delicate balance between heaviness and power that characterizes Sagat’s gameplay. We anticipate his classics — Tiger Shot, Tiger Uppercut — recalibrated for Street Fighter 6’s frenetic pace, where Drive Systems rewrite match dynamics. No official details have been revealed regarding his exact moveset, but his unadulterated Muay Thai, frontal style is expected to remain intact, potentially with some innovative variations tailored for the Modern Control Scheme.
To mark the occasion, Capcom will launch from July 4th a special Fighting Pass called “Sagat Arrives,” allowing fans to unlock content inspired by their favorite fighter. This includes new exclusive EX colors for Ryu and Ken. Another parallel initiative is the Costume 4 update, enabling seven characters (Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I.) to enter summer mode with swimwear, shiny textures, and overt fan service: Street Fighter 6 adapts to the season. Note that Sagat’s integration happens amidst the game’s technological expansion: the title is now available with crossplay across all major platforms, including the recently released Nintendo Switch 2.
In addition to Sagat, the upcoming DLC character lineup for Street Fighter 6 includes figures like Crimson Viper, Ingrid, and Alex. The new Outfit 4 content features a series of striking swimsuits for Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I., with more characters expected to receive swimwear options soon.
Last but not least, Callina Liang has been cast as Chun-Li in the forthcoming Street Fighter movie. We await its gameplay trailer now.
