Capcom Celebrates Over One Million Wishlist Additions for Resident Evil 9: Requiem

Capcom’s thrilled about a milestone! Over a million players added Resident Evil 9: Requiem to their Steam and PlayStation Store wishlists after the trailer dropped and announcement. The buzz started at Summer Games Fest, and it’s been intense ever since. Even though we didn’t see much gameplay in the teaser, reactions have been super positive. It confirms the series is still popular thanks to a lineup of top-notch games like the Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil Village, and even the recent Resident Evil 4 Remake. Players are keen to buy it, despite the game not being on sale yet. Capcom revealed that one million players added it to their wishlists before it hits the market, probably months away. The hype’s gonna build as Capcom shares more deets about the game during its Capcom Spotlight this Thursday. Releasing on February 27, 2026.
