After achieving success on PS5 and repeating the dose on PC, Stellar Blade may be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2.
According to the Korean website PlayForum, the studio Shift Up recently provided its employees with hundreds of Switch 2 units and possesses development kits for the console. When asked if this indicates a commitment to the Switch 2 and a possible Stellar Blade version for the console, the studio responded that “nothing is confirmed,” but they are indeed “internally analyzing various possibilities.”
Stellar Blade was released by Sony for both the PS5 and PC. Due to the private nature of the contract between Sony and Shift Up, there is no publicly available information indicating whether any obstacles exist that would prevent the release of a version for the Switch 2.
Released on PC last week, Stellar Blade has become the biggest success of PlayStation for PC, selling over a million copies in just three days.
Earlier this year, Shift Up confirmed that they are developing a sequel to the game and aim for a release as early as 2027.
