Originally released in 2002, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in a remastered version. This update includes gameplay improvements while preserving the essence of the original title. The remaster introduces several enhancements to improve playability and replay value, such as refined controls, instant weapon switching, automatic saving, and the option to bypass cutscenes. Two new difficulty settings are also included: “Hell,” which presents a significant challenge where every hit can be potentially lethal, and an introductory “Easy” mode that allows players to concentrate on the narrative. Fans will discover an expanded gallery featuring more than 100 previously unreleased artworks and 43 audio tracks from the original game, as well as minigames that were originally unlockable but are now accessible at launch. Additionally, players who saved their progress in the Onimusha: Warlords remaster can unlock a special Jubei outfit inspired by Akechi Samanosuke, the protagonist of the first game.
