Ten years have passed since Geralt of Rivia made his mark with “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this month. To commemorate this milestone, CD Projekt Red has released two Xbox collector’s controllers that are meticulously designed. One prominent feature is the Wolf Medallion, Geralt’s emblematic symbol representing the School of the Wolf and himself. This medallion is positioned just below the Xbox button, framed by other controller keys. The glowing red eyes of the medallion immediately draw attention, while other elements clearly evoke the game’s lore. These include inscriptions in Glagolitic, an ancient Slavic script also featured in “The Witcher 3,” engraved on the controller surface. Additionally, there is the famous red scratch used in the game’s logo, and the triggers are distinguished by two colors, symbolizing Geralt’s iconic silver sword for monsters and steel sword for humans.
According to Joshua Flowers, the head of the design team at CD Projekt Red, the goal was to create an item that appears to have existed within The Witcher universe, such as an accessory marked by time and battles.
