Fable Won’t Release This Year, Playground Games Needs Additional Year

In 2025, Fable stood out among the games but will not be released this year. This decision was made by Microsoft, specifically Craig Duncan, who recently became head of Xbox Game Studios. In a Microsoft podcast, he mentioned that Playground Games requires additional time to ensure the game’s optimal release conditions. To alleviate disappointment, new gameplay images have been unveiled, depicting a visually stunning game with combat sequences that appear somewhat rigid based on early impressions from combat animations. It is premature to form conclusive opinions at this stage, and we look forward to a genuine gameplay reveal for further confirmation of these initial assessments. It is noteworthy that Fable represents Playground Games’ first venture into the Action-RPG genre, as they have previously specialized exclusively in the Forza Horizon series.
