Silent Hill 2 Remake Achieves 2 Million Sales in 3 Months, Success Continues for Bloober Team’s Game

It was already known that the launch of Silent Hill 2 was successful, with one million copies sold in just three days. However, this trend continues to persist. In a press release, Konami announced that their survival horror game has reached two million copies sold within three months, as of January 23, 2025. These sales figures include both physical and digital versions, demonstrating the strong reception for this remake which had caused concern among many prior to positive reviews confirming the game’s quality and the high standard of its restoration work. While there is still a significant distance to cover compared to Resident Evil 4’s achievement of selling nine million copies within less than two years—a benchmark in the survival horror genre that appeals broadly—the impressive figures for Silent Hill 2 will serve as an excellent foundation for Christophe Gans’ upcoming Silent Hill film, with fans eagerly awaiting its first trailer.
