However, Yves Guillemot did acknowledge that remakes for the Assassin’s Creed franchise have indeed been initiated. The website MP1ST noticed a mention of “Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Remake” on an Ubisoft employee’s LinkedIn profile, which was subsequently modified to avoid potential disciplinary action. Although MP1ST chose not to reveal the individual’s name, they shared some intriguing details. Firstly, the remake will include more than just a visual overhaul; improvements to gameplay are planned, particularly in combat mechanics. Additionally, the open world is set to be enhanced with a richer ecosystem featuring an increased variety of animals to create a denser and more natural environment.
Meanwhile, Insider Gaming reports that this remake will release earlier than anticipated, in November 2025, just nine months after Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
