This news has provided relief for fans of Akira, Jackie, and Sarah who were eager to see their favorite fighting games continue following the cessation of Virtua Fighter production in 2007. SEGA recognizes that this return is highly anticipated, and CEO Masayoshi Yokoyama has stated that experienced developers from the franchise will support the new game, ensuring quality control. At present, details about the game are limited to an initial teaser revealing that our favorite characters have also evolved in terms of design. A prudent decision indeed.
