Last month, alongside the cinema release of Terrifier 3, Terrifier The ARTcade Game was announced with a new video. Although the video is less than a minute long, it provides more insight into the gameplay, which was only briefly hinted at in the ‘reveal trailer’. As shown, the game follows the classic beat ’em up formula and pays homage to the aesthetics of 80s titles. A notable feature is that players can experience elements such as splashes of blood and severed limbs, adding a level of terror beyond typical fare. The game includes four playable characters, and cooperation among them will be necessary for peaceful progression. Additionally, weapons, bonuses, and other items can be collected to enhance gameplay. While the gameplay appears relatively straightforward, it is hoped that there is sufficient depth to maintain player engagement. No release date has been communicated yet, and there are no plans to test the game at its launch.
