Released in May 2024, The Rogue Prince of Persia recently received its largest update, titled “Second Chapter,” which includes several significant changes. Notably, there is a new artistic direction with a revised color palette and the Prince changing from a purple hue to a natural skin tone. This was one of the main issues players had when the game launched last spring. Nonetheless, for those who prefer the original look, Ubisoft has addressed this by announcing that the Purple Prince will be available as an unlockable skin in a future update.
In addition to these design changes, Chapter 2 introduces new biomes such as the Mines and the Artisans’ Quarter, complete with additional bosses and a new narrative arc to explore. Ubisoft has also improved Act 1 by introducing new enemies, rebalancing difficulty levels, adding more save points, implementing automatic gold and soul ash collection, and incorporating various other enhancements. In summary, with the “Second Chapter” update, The Rogue Prince of Persia now features 9 distinct biomes, 20 primary weapons, 6 powerful tools, 4 boss fights, 24 secondary challenges, and 50 medallions for infinite combinations tailored to all playstyles.
