Released on November 12, 2024, Farming Simulator 25 has already achieved significant success with over 2 million copies sold within just one week. This indicates that the series continues to be highly anticipated by an active community. These figures show a peak of 125,000 players connected simultaneously on launch day via Steam, while the series overall has reached cumulative sales of more than 40 million copies. The enthusiasm surrounding this release represents a substantial increase of over 30% compared to the franchise’s previous record, which was 1.5 million copies for Farming Simulator 22 during the same period. This success allows GIANTS Software to feel increasingly confident, particularly as the studio now self-publishes and may lead Focus Entertainment to regret not retaining such a valuable partner.
When our self-publishing journey with Farming Simulator 22 began, we were already excited by the resonance of our unique, engaged, and passionate community,” says Boris Stefan, Publishing Head at GIANTS Software. “Farming Simulator 25 marks our most successful launch to date and demonstrates that our connection with the community has only grown stronger. Their enthusiasm and support are not only central to our success but also a driving force behind our continued commitment to offering an unparalleled and satisfying farming experience. The launch was merely the beginning of FS25.”
To keep players engaged, it has been announced that constant updates are planned for the coming weeks. Players can expect technical support with fixes and other updates, along with new family game packs and extensions. The Season Pass from Year 1 is already available and includes three official packs as well as a major expansion, which will be accessible to pass owners upon the release of the content.
