Last month, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee listed the upcoming game “Death Note” for PS5 and PS4. It did not take long for Bandai Namco Entertainment to confirm the title. The publisher, which specializes in Japanese manga and anime and has been collaborating with Shueisha, confirms the release of “Death Note: Killer Within” on PC, PS5, and PS4, available from day one on the PS Plus subscription. However, it is worth noting that the decision was made to replicate elements similar to those found in “Among Us,” including its representation and gameplay mechanics.
Death Note Killer Within is described as an online social deduction game featuring cross-play compatibility that supports up to 10 players divided into two teams, competing ruthlessly to uncover and eliminate their opponents by identifying L or seizing Kira’s Death Note. It is noted that both L and Kira possess equal power but conceal their identities while striving for dominance. Players can select from roles including Kira, a disciple of Kira, L, or an investigator, each providing unique gameplay experiences. Strategic planning is essential as players navigate random scenarios with increasing complexity. Additionally, customization options are available, allowing players to personalize their nameplate and avatar through the use of 7 types of accessories and special effects during critical game moments.
