“Suicide Squad Kills Justice League”: After Commercial Failure Come Layoffs…

The significant failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which resulted in losses of $200 million, has led to layoffs at Rocksteady. The studio has decided to dismiss 18 employees from its QA department, leaving it with only 15 members remaining. Quality assurance teams are often the first to be affected during such restructurings, but other departments and employees have also been impacted, including one member who is currently on paternity leave. This will not help improve the studio’s or its parent company Warner Bros Games’ reputation. Despite this major setback, Rocksteady is reportedly already working on a new game since June 2024, as indicated by recent LinkedIn postings and job offers available since last May.
