With Wimbledon now behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the upcoming US Open season. Following Jannik Sinner’s performances on grass courts, we can confirm that a new player will be joining the roster. None other than Caroline Garcia, France’s top-ranked player, is set to join the game. This announcement was made in May during Roland Garros, when Caroline Garcia signed her contract and completed all motion capture work. She will be offered as a free update, with no additional payment required.
Season 3 also introduces the Laver Cup in TopSpin 2K25, where Team Europe faces off against Team World. Once players achieve “Young Prodigy” status in MyCAREER, they can participate in the Laver Cup as a playable event within the men’s MyCAREER circuit during September. Players will compete in teams across several days, either as their MyPLAYER or as professional tennis players. Team Europe consists of players like Sinner and Alcaraz, while Team World includes players such as Tiafoe or Shelton, with any remaining spots filled by predefined MyPLAYER characters. The competition spans four daily matches: three singles matches and one doubles match each day. In the event of a tie after two days, there is a decisive doubles match on the third day. Points earned each day range from 1 to 3, accumulating until one team reaches 13 points, thereby securing victory and the prestigious Laver Cup trophy.
