A lot has progressed for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves following EVO 2024, where impressive gameplay sequences were showcased. SNK resumed its strong communication by announcing further additions to the roster. The first character revealed during the grand VS Fighting tournament is Kevin Rian, a field police officer who originally appeared in the 1999 installment and returns with the same determination to maintain order and justice, even resorting to using explosive grenades when necessary. Since Mark of the Wolves, Kevin has not undergone significant changes and remains steadfast in letting his hammer do the talking as he carries out his duties. In contrast, we also learned about Billy Kane’s new appearance, which is too refined to be mistaken for Geese Howard’s bodyguard. His connection to London and his signature bandana are no longer part of his character identity. Now appearing younger, Billy sports ill-fitting sunglasses. Despite the Fashion Police possibly calling him out, it is clear that Billy Kane retains his elegance when wielding a baton.
The release of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is anticipated for early 2025. Following EVO 2024, SNK provided further details about the game, introducing Kevin Rian and Billy Kane as new characters. Kevin, an officer featured in the 1999 episode, returns with a strong commitment to maintaining order using explosive grenades. His appearance remains largely unchanged since Mark of the Wolves. On the other hand, Billy Kane now has a younger look, having severed his ties with London and discarded his bandana in favor of ill-fitting sunglasses. Despite this updated aesthetic, he continues to exude elegance while wielding a baton and no longer acts as Geese Howard’s bodyguard.
