SNK vs Capcom: An Unexpected Relaunch, Available Now!

The kickoff of EVO 2024 allowed SNK to make several announcements. In addition to unveiling a new trailer for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, featuring Kevin Ryan as a character, it was announced that SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos is returning to PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The game is now available on all three platforms, complete with a range of new features. Notably, rollback netcode has been introduced, which is essential for smooth online play. Additional features include a gallery of 89 artworks and illustrations, as well as a system to view character hitbox zones. It remains to be seen if these enhancements will attract fans back, considering the game’s mixed reception at its initial release due to an austere atmosphere in terms of graphics, soundtrack, and menus, along with less mainstream characters compared to Capcom vs. SNK 2 from Capcom’s roster.
