In Early Access for over a year, Starship Troopers Extermination is advancing to the next phase. Following an announcement trailer at last month’s Summer Game Fest, the game will be showcased at gamescom 2024 with a playable demo section. Additionally, the developers have invited comedian Casper Van Dien, who starred as Rico in Paul Verhoeven’s film, to greet attendees and sign autographs. His primary role is to engage with the audience and build trust for the developers. This meet-and-greet event will take place on Thursday, August 22nd, starting at 6:00 PM in Hall 10.1 at stand E021. Casper Van Dien will be joined by Starship Troopers cosplayers and a life-size insect prop designed by Creative Polymer for photo opportunities. We look forward to seeing you there.
New enemies, new planets, and a newly developed solo mode in collaboration with Casper Van Dien will be available at the game’s release. Attendees of gamescom this year will have an exclusive opportunity to see this new content firsthand. Starship Troopers Extermination is scheduled for release on October 11, 2024, across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, following more than a year in Early Access. Players will be immersed in the front lines of an arachnid war, requiring teamwork for missions, resource gathering, base construction, and defense.
