NBA 2K25: Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics to Appear on Game Cover

Summer is in full swing, and today marks 2K Games’ announcement of NBA 2K25, set to launch across all market consoles this upcoming fall. Following the usual annual schedule, a special event is scheduled for September 6th, featuring Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics wing and five-time All-Star who is also the reigning NBA champion, as the guest. However, he appears solo on the standard edition cover, while the All-Star Edition will feature A’ja Wilson, the forward for the Las Vegas Aces, alongside him. 2K Games has also revealed that the game will include an enhanced version of ProPLAY™ technology and will offer modes such as My NBA, The W, and My CITY. Cross-play functionality will be available exclusively on next-gen consoles, while an internet connection and online account (with a minimum age requirement) are necessary for accessing online features and exchanging or using bonus content, including My CAREER, MyTEAM, My NBA, The W online, and PLAY NOW online.
