Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Announced, But It’s Actually a Full Remake

It has been nearly 10 years since the Dead Rising series was put on hold by Capcom, mainly due to the underperformance of its 2016 fourth installment. Nevertheless, Capcom has consistently held a fondness for Frank West, the original protagonist, and he is set to return in 2024 with the announcement of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. However, note that the game’s title is misleading as it will not be a simple remaster but a full remake, as Capcom has confirmed they are completely overhauling the 2009 game. In fact, the teaser trailer reveals an evolved appearance for Frank West. This will only be the fourth iteration since his debut in the gaming world.
