Released in 2019 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, Blacksad is now updated and available today on current consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series. Fans of the comic book by Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido can now embark on this adventure in this point-and-click game developed by Pendulo Studio. The film noir atmosphere and well-crafted story allowed it to appeal to a certain audience, while the technical issues and numerous bugs upon release highlighted the limitations of the Spanish studio’s capabilities, similar to what happened with Tintin last year. It is presumed that this version has been resolved of major issues, but players will have to pay again to confirm, as no discounted upgrade offer is provided by Microids. As they say, every little bit helps.
