On June 18, 2024, during the Nintendo Direct presentation, SNK announced a new game titled “Metal Slug Attack Reloaded,” which serves as the second title in the franchise’s relaunch initiative. It should be noted that while the French development team at DotEmu is finalizing work on “Metal Slug Tactics,” Metal Slug Attack Reloaded is not a run & gun game but rather a tower defense game with horizontal scrolling gameplay. The gameplay involves selecting from a roster of 300 characters to create a deck and engage in online battles, deploying the most effective units based on obstacles and opponent strategy. Metal Slug Attack Reloaded is now available for €9.99.
