It’s now 2023, marking ten incredible years since the release of Slender, the spooky horror game that kickstarted the independent horror gaming revolution. In France, Slender’s popularity soared thanks to Cyprien and Squeezie, who created a ton of entertaining videos about it. We recall those days fondly because we shared an office space back then and even lent a hand to Jeuxactu in filming one of their awesome videos featuring Cyprien Gaming. The game’s impact went far beyond the gaming world when a movie adaptation came out in 2018, though it didn’t quite live up to expectations and received a rather disappointing 1.4/5 rating on Allociné. Yet despite this hiccup, Slender continues to captivate audiences everywhere! To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the developers have decided to roll out an updated version of the game. This isn’t just another episode; it’s a remastered edition packed with cutting-edge technologies like Unreal Engine 5.2.
